Famiglia Cecchi Wine
Chianti Classico DOCG Primocolle Villa Cerna Cecchi
Nestled in the renowned Chianti Classico DOCG region, specifically in Castellina in Chianti, Siena, at an elevation of 280 meters above sea level, this wine epitomizes the essence of its origin. The vineyard thrives on middle dough alkaline soil enriched with stones, supporting 5000 plants per hectare and yielding 7 tonnes of grapes per hectare through the Spurred Cordon pruning technique.
The meticulous production system at Villa Cerna ensures that each bottle of Chianti Classico authentically represents its region, offering a distinctive and clean character.
The vinification process follows traditional methods with fermentation carried out in small, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 26°C. This process, lasting 15 days, includes both fermentation and maceration. Throughout this period, careful pump-overs (remontage) and temperature management are conducted to maintain the integrity and quality of the wine.
Color: Clear and vivid ruby
Bouquet: An intense floral bouquet, with violet and iris aromas the most prevalent. Tannins well integrated with the freshness of fruit make for a Chianti Classico with moderate ageability.
An ideal accompaniment to grilled or roasted red meats, cured meats, and cheeses.
